AIMS AND SCOPE
Mineral Resources Engineering primarily publishes papers on advances in
research, development and practical applications in all aspects of mining
science and mining engineering technology, with the aim of speeding up the
introduction and acceptance of new and improved techniques. The papers are wide
ranging and, wherever possible, interdisciplinary. The journal places emphasis
on computers and simulation, performance improvement, new technology in all
types of mining, cost control and improvement, all aspects of safety
improvement, environmental issues, rock mechanics applied to mining, strata
control, mineral and coal processing, and the interface between mining and the
law. It is also the official journal of the Society of Mining Professors/
Societat der Bergbaukunde and as such publishes papers on developments in
mining engineering education.
